Details
This might be a duplicate of bug 890425, since the conditions to reproduce are similar. STR: 1. Go to an input field on a page. Tap it so the keyboard comes up. 2. Type something. 3. Long press the input field to bring up the context menu. Pick "Select Word" or "Select All". 4. Either type or copy the text. In the first case, the selected text isn't deleted. In the second case nothing gets copied. This doesn't happen if you move the cursor first. Even tapping it at the end (keeping the cursor in place, to bring up the caret handle) is sufficient.

I just tried this out on Nightly (07/30) on duckduckgo.com. I can confirm that typing over the word isn't working. On second attempt I did select 'copy' and that did copy to my clipboard. So one of two is working for me.
