Platform: Linux only; redhat: 6.2 (branch build: 2001-07-09-04-0.9.2)

1. Launch the browser.
2. Notice there's no build date in browser window.

Are you building from source? If so, set MOZILLA_OFFICIAL to set the build date.
=> Invalid. (Read the build instructions).

Or is there no date when this is set properly?

we always take the buildid out of the browser window for release builds.  vishy
took that out last week.  check the about page if you need the builddate.

Thanks Jon. Sorry for that. I should file a bug on windows instead of Linux.
Using today's build on windows 98 (branch build: 2001-07-09-05-0.9.2) the build 
date is listed in the browser windows. It supposes not to though.
