We recently worked with the Creative team to produce these Firefox Marketplace call to action badges:

https://assets.mozillalabs.com/Projects/Firefox%20Marketplace/Badges/

These badges will be used by the Firefox OS apps developers to promote and share the link for the app download in Firefox Marketplace.

We want to offer a localized badge for your locale.

The first step is to provide a translation of the text on, this badge, the text is:

GET IT IN THE Firefox MARKETPLACE

You can look at the url above to see how this is rendered. You may have to adapt a bit the text so as to make it fit in the button. If the text layout on this button represents a challenge for your language, we can brainstorm here and tweak the text and/or the design to make the still button look good for your locale.

Once we have the string translated, we can ask the Designer to actually integrate your text in the button and check that it is correct (fonts /ex).

Thanks

Translate is: „OBȚINE-L DIN Firefox MARKETPLACE”
I agree with Raul! :)
Next step?
Wait for the localized graphics to see if there are problems with the current wording.
Where see romanian badge? Thanks.
I guess they'll be provided in this bug when ready.
Any update for this? Thanks!
Francesco, you know if badge are done?
Nope, that's out of my control/area :-(
No news in 4 months, marking this as invalid. Strings were stored and will be used if necessary.

This seems more like WONTFIX to me. (It was a valid request, but one that will never be fulfilled.)

Hey there,

I have taken over the localization of these buttons as they are being added to the Affiliates program. And as such I have some of the direction that was missing from this bug.

The direction missing on how to localize marketplace is that the whole name "Firefox Marketplace" is a brand name and can't be altered. The way it was done, only Firefox was treated like a brand.

This is an example of how the brand team would like it treated, where the branding stays the same but, the words leading up to it change:

http://developer.android.com/distribute/googleplay/promote/badges.html

If you are interested, this is where we are tracking the design of the localized buttons:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=952618 and where we discovered the issue.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this and thank you.

Best,
Chelsea

Hello, what need from Romanian localization team?
Where are strings for localization?
We're waiting for the designer to provide images, no strings needed.

Maybe a little suggestion: "DISPONIBIL ÎN Firefox MARKETPLACE".

Because I see Google use this translation.

And because we have grammatical gender problem in Romanian. Something like "Obține-l jocul" <Get the game> (In Romanian this is masculine gender) or "Obține-o aplicația" <Get the app> (In Romanian this is feminine gender).

I found the golden mean, to use something like neutral gender which is good for both genders (masculine and feminine gender): "DISPONIBIL ÎN Firefox MARKETPLACE".

Best Regards,
Cristian Silaghi
The decision is up to your team. If the graphic is not OK, please reopen the bug and we'll CC Sean to update it.
Francesco, yes I know.

Raul, do you agree?

In comment 2 you agreed with my initial translation.

So, this badge perhaps used for downloading/installing apps.
Our l10n colleagues from Germany translated „Disponibil” but Spain translated Obtenla (Obține-l), Italy used Scarica (Descarcă).

In conclusion, for accurate, I agree with Cristian.

Final translation: „DISPONIBIL ÎN Firefox MARKETPLACE”.

Please update it. Sorry for inconvenience. Thanks all!
