Details

Bug a hacker and I found at the OHM Festival – Popcorn Maker never loads the video if working in FF22 on a Linux system.
Seems to work for a random youtube URL on Firefox 22 on Fedora. Perhaps you could provide more precise steps to reproduce this problem.
Hi, I'm the other hacker Laura is referring to.

After further research I noticed that if I disabled gnash everything works just fine.

I think that if popcorn finds a flash player installed, it tries to load a flash version of the videos first, which, in my humble opinion, shouldn't be the case.

Here's my system data if it helps:

$ uname -a
Linux apate 3.9-1-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.9.8-1 i686 GNU/Linux

$ gnash --version
Gnash 0.8.11dev (master-21586-6528395)

Hi all!

Popcorn doesn't do any fallback on current production, it'll load video files in HTML5 and youtube in youtube, there is no fallback, so I wonder if gnash is doing something odd?

Is the video you were trying to load still on hand? Was it mp4, webm or youtube url?

I run Linux as well, so I can give gnash a try and see what I get.

It seems the problem was gnash, if I disabled it, the video would load fine as html5.
I don't see us fixing this any time soon, so closing it for now.
