I took a look at this because it's failing more often on ASan debug builds. But already on a regular 64-bit debug+opt linux build, this test takes over 20 seconds with --ion-eager. If this is tripping timeouts from time to time even on regular platforms, we should just mark it as slow (which disables it entirely on TBPL), rather than just disabling it for ASan.
