Somebody spent some time trying to earn badges that don't exist anymore on Webmaker.org and luckily wrote to the mailing list about it.

The minibadges on https://badges.webmaker.org/ don't work with the latest version of Thimble

tldr; I strongly recommend we do the following as soon as possible:

1) update https://badges.webmaker.org/ to explain that the Webmaker badges are being reactivated in the Fall (September, October)

2) update http://openbadges.org/earn/ to stop pointing to https://badges.webmaker.org/ as an opportunity to earn your first badge

I'm also wondering if we can get him a retroactive badge once they're turned back on for being such a trooper :)

Here is the email we received:

I hope I am not being silly, but I cannot seem to find any information on
how to actually obtain badges.

I have already completed individual components of the 'I am a webmaker'
badge by creating thimble projects, but I can't find out how to request the
badge as recognition. Is there a process for this or is it done
automatically?
