User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130730113002 Steps to reproduce: All I did was update Firefox from version 22 to version 23 Actual results: Bookmarks not showing on the toolbar Expected results: All other updates kept my bookmarks on the toolbar
Are your bookmarks still accessible via "Bookmarks" in the main menu? How did you update exactly?
As it's a support request, it's better to use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions than BMO. There is the FAQ too: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks

I updated two ways: 1. I went to help in Firefox 22 and updated that way. 2. Went back to Firefox 22 and then downloaded the Firefox 23 install file and ran that. I am now using Firefox 22 so that I can use the Bookmark toolbar. The bookmarks were available in the Menu - Bookmarks location.
I figured out the problem. An addon (Personal Menu Bar) caused it to happen.
I'm sorry. The add-on in question is the Personal Titlebar 1.0.20130518. I removed it and then re-added it. Everything now works properly.
