We noticed this problem on a website using bootstrap (3.0RC1, but same problem using stable 2.3.2).
If you scroll down to the end of the page, vertical borders disappear. If you keep scrolling up and down the page, the amount of borders displayed keep changing.
I tried to create a minimal test case.

I can confirm on Linux (Francesco is on Mac) with Firefox 23 and Nightly (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0)

Note: removing border-collapse: collapse the problem stops.
