Matteo says this is a bug https://github.com/mozilla/addon-sdk/pull/1154#commitcomment-3819128

I disagree, but I'm branching this debate out of bug 902834.
The current implementation will run in tests and rewrite the `exports` to a passing test with a "unsupported application" message -- using in an addon (even a test addon) seems like a different story
Is this blocking? If so, set it to P1.
