I have the "add-on contests or events are announced" box unchecked on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/users/edit#acct-notify but I still received the email about the "We need your opinion on mobile add-ons" survey. :(

At the bottom of that email is the following:

You have received this email because you are a registered add-on developer on AMO and have opted to receive event announcements. To opt out of further emails of this nature, please visit the following URL and uncheck the "add-on contests or events are announced" box:

The last query that we used was missing the check that the notification was enabled, and only checked that it existed.
