Steps to reproduce:

Play the video and notice the dropped frames with any flash player logging tool.

Actual results:

The number of dropped frames reported on FF is more compared to Safari


Expected results:

No increased amount of dropped frames.

This was reported on Windows NT.  Is it truly about Flash performance on the Mac?

Is performance worse in FF 23 than it was in FF 22?

What version of Flash are you testing with?  Do different Flash versions behave differently?

Please report some of the numbers you've seen in your tests, in different browsers, and possibly also on different platforms.

Working on providing a testcase which shows ~40 to 80 frames drop difference between safari and firefox.

After loading http://www.yospace.com/index.php/hls-demo.html in latest Nightly 29.0a1, the browser freezes for 30 seconds then the video starts. In the first 20 seconds the video has poor quality and is lagging, afterwards the video is played nice and smooth. I am using Flash 12.0.0.39 on Mac OS X 10.9.
