This was also spec-ed for Fennec. Instead of showing the default 'Firefox logo' watermark as the default thumbnail (required BEFORE a user first visits that thumbnail to pull down the website image), the idea here is to pull in the dominant colour from the Favicon associated with that bookmarks (from the bookmarks page) and the favicon logo itself. Again, I am hoping to repurpose some work already done with Fennec here!

If we can use a preloaded 'starter' screenshot instead of pulling the favicon colour & image to it, this is the better option. The favicon is the secondary, alternative method.
Summary: [Browser] Use the dominant colour and image of the Favicon into the associated Top Sites thumbnail as default → [Browser] Use a screenshot associated with a bookmarked preloaded Top Site thumbnail as default (or dominant colour and image of the Favicon)
This type of feature work is being handled elsewhere. Clearing the flag for UX. Please re-flag us as necessary.
