Please grant prabhat.hegde@sun.com cvs write access to the area which do NOT
need supre review for now.
prabhat.hegde@sun.com will check in code to /mozilla/extensions/ctl/ which are
not build by default.
He should NOT check in code into other area for now.

We may ask suprereview to grant him higher access later.

What does the name "ctl" (full of Unix resonance) mean? I don't recall staff @
mozilla.org being consulted on this subdirectory, but maybe I missed the mail.
Just curious, wondering what it means (not sure there's a better name, but it
certainly is terse!).

/be
ctl stands for "complex text layout" (agreed it is cryptic). The ctl module
in mozilla is for providing thai script support. It can also be used in
future for indian language support. The extensions/ctl directory was approved
for checkin sometime in June. Included below, a mail for your reference:

Hi all

OK, mozilla.org staff is fine with having the applicable Pango files in
Mozilla, noting that any changes made to these files should ideally be
sent to the main Pango project, and that there's a change the main
project won't want some changes, resulting is a slight divergence. We'd
prefer not to see this happen, of course. But since Owen is comfortable
with this chance, we'll go ahead.

mozilla.org staff can't make promises about getting the changes back to
Pango, but we'll certainly try. Blizzard says he can probably do this
pretty easily, and we'll try to find another way if Blizzard can't for
some reason.

So there's the OK from mozilla.staff.

Thanks to all for taking the time to explain this to me and get these
things settled.

Mitchell

brendan - based on mitchell's email, is it ok to grant Prabhat access?
Is this access still needed? This bug dates back to October.
It would certainly be useful to have, access considering that i am now taking
ownership of the ctl component (intl/ctl) of which i am the developer. There's
only so many times katakai@japan.sun.com, roland mainz and simon montagu can
check in code for me. (They've never complained, though).

Pl look at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124574 which is a request
to add ctl under BugZilla's Browser-Component list.
Prabhat: Do you still need cvs write access? There has been no activity on this
bug since Aug of 02.
yes - for intl/ctl only.

Do we have a cvs account request form on file for prabhat.hegde@sun.com?
prabhat - this has been hanging around for a while. Asa's last comment
references the form, which i cannot find at this time. if you still want access
you will need to get us another form. Let me know. thanks.
closing this one down, no activity in some time. feel free to reopen if access
is still desired.
