Scrolling performance and behavior is very bad on a bunch of sites, but this one is particularly bad (running m-c & gaia master on GP Peak): http://m.voetbalzone.nl. On Android 4.3 with Firefox Beta (24.0) everything is fine.

Also framerate drops a lot. See the video.
Just pinging you to put it somewhere with the other scrolling issues. Don't know who the PM for browser is :-)

This might change with bug 894333; We are waiting for that bug to land.
Yes as Naoki says there is ongoing work that may improve this, perhaps we can triage this and re-test it once that lands.

When you say 'see the video', is there a video you've recorded of this issue? The Geeksphone Peak has known performance issues that may not ever get properly resolved (it's shipped with a known-bad video driver version that stops us from taking advantage of the gralloc feature for faster texture upload).

This may get partially resolved by switching to the tiled layers backend and enabling progressive rendering.

I'm going to dupe this to the tiles bug, as the website runs acceptably for me on a Keon using said backend (but there seems to be an unrelated jittering issue).

It's more than just rendering issues. It's also that scrolling jumps back and forth. The video apparently was too big for bugzilla, sorry. Please see it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOloW2NrfHA&feature=youtu.be

Let me know if this problem is resolved with the new backend. Thanks.

So I see the same issue - performance looks fine, but scrolling jumps back and forth. It looks like the page has its own scrolling code that conflicts with the built-in scroll handling, but this needs investigation.

This problem is not solved by the new backend.

I see this behaviour, but only while the page is loading (white bar while blue stripes at the top is showing). Once the page is completely loaded (the bar disappears), it works fine.
I should mention that I was testing with a Unagi device, and that I also see this behaviour on slashdot.org.
I don't see this behaviour on m.voetbalzone.nl on my Peak (running master + my patches from bug 898443). I do see the one scroll reset on slashdot.org right when the page finishes loading, but that is triggered by content (see attachment) and so is expected behaviour.
After pulling from central, I no longer see it either. I guess it was fixed by a recent patch?

Adding qawanted to test this on a 8/21 build to verify this no longer reproduces.

This issue does not reproduce on today's Unagi master build. I have tested both web sites (m.voetbalzone.nl and www.slashdot.org) and scrolling did not jump back and forth.

Unagi Master Build ID: 20130821050136
Gecko: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/b2486721572e
Gaia: 70033ba9cbac65551f68fcb3a28f7daf3105e6ff
Platform Version: 26.0a1

Leaving qawanted keyword for someone to test this issue on Peak device.

kats already confirmed this works on Peak and we double checked in comment 12 this works on unagi. On that regard, I'm closing this as a works for me.
