Steps to reproduce:

1.Enter Gallery
2. zoom out the picture
3.zoom in the picture



Actual results:

When  zoom out the picture,we can see  picture surrounded by jagged



Expected results:

When  zoom out the picture,we can see not picture surrounded by jagged

I cannot reproduce this case on my test device.
It might relate to the test data.
Could you please attach a picture that can reproduce this problem?

By the way, this case might relate to bug 906534. (Graph rendering)

After I investigated the problem, it seems to relate graph sampling.
I also reproduced this issue on other large size images.

Sorry to disturb you! I'm not sure if you are the right person to ask the question.
Lecky encountered a problem while testing functionality of gallery app (zoom in/out and preview).
If you copy a large size image to SD card and preview it, you can see the picture surrounded by jagged.
But if you zoom in/out the picture, no jagged happens.
You could test the issue via attached pictures.
Any thought?

lecky, could you disable hwcomposer to check this problem still happen or not?

[Howto]
a. Search hwcomposer* under system/lib/hw/
b. Rename the library
c. Restart b2g

Hi, Peter,

The problem still happened after I did the steps you mentioned.

My test steps,
1. Run as root and remount the system
2. Rename the hwcomposer.msm7627a.so
3. Reboot the device
4. Launch the Gallery to check this problem

Result:
-  The image still surrounded by jagged.

we can see part of the picture screen color distortion at the moment of zoom out the picture.

the problem is a serious problems .please analyse.

The patch locates at bug 899798.
