A few things cross my mind: 1. When A2DP is connected, should we show different message as a hint in Settings App? HFP and A2DP are independent, so the connection status of them are definitely independent. :) It could be one of the following cases: a. HFP: connected; A2DP: connected b. HFP: connected; A2DP: disconnected c. HFP: disconnected; A2DP: connected d. HFP: disconnected; A2DP: disconnected Currently, "Connected" is shown whenever HFP is connected, but there's no way to figure out the connection status of A2DP from our UI.
2. When A2DP is connected, should we show a different icon as a hint in status bar?
3. Disconnect A2DP while we're playing music, the audio stream will be route to speaker. Should we pause the music for a better user experience?

Yes, I'd suggest we have a different icon to represent A2DP connection. I'll inform the graphic designer to design one after she comes back from the UX workweek. Thanks!

Should we pause the music for a better user experience? Yes, the music should be paused since users might be at public space and playing music out loud is quite embarrassing. :P Can we make sure the same rule is also applied to wired headphones? Thanks!
Yes, we shall provide hints for users. I'll work on this! thanks! (In reply to Gina Yeh [:gyeh] [:ginayeh] from comment #1) > A few things cross my mind: > > 1. My suggestion: a. HFP: connected; A2DP: connected -> Connected to phone/media audio b. HFP: connected; A2DP: disconnected -> Connected to phone audio c. HFP: disconnected; A2DP: connected -> Connected to media audio d. HFP: disconnected; A2DP: disconnected -> No connection Thanks!
Hi Matej, Could you please help us with the strings? Thanks! :) (In reply to cawang from comment #7) > My suggestion: > > a. HFP: connected; A2DP: connected > -> Connected to phone/media audio > > b. HFP: disconnected; A2DP: disconnected > -> No connection > > Thanks!

I think the strings look good, but maybe for d. it could be "Not connected" so it's consistent.

Attached image A2DP icon on status bar
Hey guys, I've attached an A2DP icon for status bar. Please take a look. Thanks!
Hi Carrie, We consolidate all icons in one image file called image sprite to reduce loading times. The paths are /apps/system/style/statusbar/images/icons.png, icons@1.5x.png, icons@2x.png. Could you help on adding the icons to the sprites? Thanks!
