When you open new tabs and the Tab App Bar slides out, all the current tabs will quickly turn black and then return to normal as the Tab App Bar retracts. I can reproduce this problem 100% on the X1 Carbon.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1) Open Firefox Metro
2) Open several different tabs (3-4 should do)
3) Once you have several tabs opened, from the awesome screen select one of the default bookmarks. You should notice when the Tab App Bar slides down, that all the tabs will turn black quickly before turning back to normal.

Current Behavior:

- When creating new tabs, currently opened tabs quickly go black and then return to normal

Expected Behavior:

- When creating new tabs, the tabs that are currently opened shouldn't turn solid black

Very likely related to Bug 831440.

Seems like the flicker is gone in recent builds. I tried with APZC enabled and disabled. Likely was a GFX canvas bug that was fixed.

Yup, looks like this is also working for me! Not seeing the black flickers anymore as per the video attached. Used the following build for verification/testing:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013-08-26-03-02-03-mozilla-central/

- Went through the original test case in comment #0 without any issues
- Opened at least 15 or so tabs and didn't see any more black flickers
- Opened tabs going through the floating "+" button on the right hand side without any issues
- Opened tabs going through the "Tab App Bar" without any issues
- Closed several tabs without seeing any flickers as before
- Went through all of the above test cases using filled view without any issues
