Alright, staging is all set to go. I think we should do some more testing on staging, and hit the switch tomorrow.
:jp - any concerns with turning this on in production tomorrow?

As long as we keep a manual eye on bounce rate, no.

(as in no concerns)

I'm addicted to bugs!!
Just noticing on staging there seems to be no option to "save" the prefs. So you could turn off receiving emails when you add events, but not clear that pref "sticks".

Hm, Kieran mentioned that too. I could add some sort of a message that pops up "Your preferences have been saved". Or a non-functional "Save" button, haha.

I'd go for a simple JS popup that says "your settings have been saved". The fake button seems unnecessary :)

I've turned on the welcome email sending in prod. Worked fine for me with a test account, but I did notice that Postini caught it as spam, which is annoying.
I also noticed in testing on staging that we don't respect the email prefs for event creation emails (oops). I need to land another patch in webmaker-events to handle that before turning those emails on in production.
