Create new graphics and copy to encourage our users to share and like our social media channels, which in turn will inform non-users about Firefox (end goal: grow social media channels to maximize retention for Mozilla products)

We may need an actual meeting to discuss how we would like to promote our social channels given that there were many discussions about using/not using FB/Twitter branded icons, etc. 

-Snippet graphics
-->We currently have the “talk bubbles” as our social icon. We would like to test graphics of (these are purely suggestions but does give direction on what we are looking for):

Hi Jean, I am currently in the works on some of these snippets and want to clarify that we should still be working with the 40x50px snippet dimensions for these? I like the idea of using a speech bubble with 'Proud Firefox User' inside, but at those dimensions it will be a bit tight for spacing.

Hi Matt,
I'm still working with UX to find out why there are restrictions. In the meantime can you work on other graphics that doesn't require the words for now? Thank you!

Matt,
Great icons, thanks for creating them. For the sharing one, we need a graphic image that users can post when they click on the share link. I was hoping the image could be something like the fox with text that says "Proud Firefox User" or something along the lines of that. I was looking at our FB page, the Sept 4,16 or July 13 posts should give you an idea of what I am thinking of. Let me know if you have questions!

Thanks Matt! I've passed it to the social team to see if it's fine the way it is (they know more about what gets their users excited).

BUT I have great news. We do have flexibility in expanding beyond the 40 x 50 png size. So if you want to try to work on the speech bubble in a bigger capacity that's fine with me, however, let's make sure that it's not too big that it takes away from the whole experience visually on the page. 

John - I don't know if you want to discuss how big we can go but I think we should probably set a standard as I think Michael Kelly would have to build code in our snippet service to allow a bigger size than 40 x 50.

That's awesome about the expanded size! Feels like that might be a larger conversation about the about:home page in general, and I wouldn't want to derail this project while we figure that out.

So, a couple of thoughts:
- Matt, could you experiment with a treatment that potentially goes beyond 40x50 but not *too* much beyond? In other words, let's not take over the full page just yet. 
- Jean, can you kick off a conversation with me, Sean Martell and whoever else needs to be involved (Michael?) to figure out a new standard? I'd want to loop the product UX team in too, as they also maintain this page.

Jean, will that work or do you need to nail down the new standard first, regardless of the size?

Hi Jean, I've attached the individual social snippets for you. Also I will start to explore a slightly larger sized format for the snippets. I think the speech bubble will be a good place to start, as I will attempt to include 'Proud Firefox User' inside at a legible size.

Hi John,

So looks like the code was built to only accept the 40 x 50 png size to make sure the alignment is accurate. In addition, to make the bigger size, developers won't be able to work on it until Q4. But I'll put together a meeting so we can start discussing what our bigger standard would be if we want to go that route. 

Matt - I'd just wait on that sizing since we don't know what we're going with.
