Entering input values directly for colour picker doesn't apply the colour right away

This worked while I was developing it, but some times during the iterations it broke and was not fixed, and not noticed. Basically, if I paste in a hex value instead of using the colour picker, it should update the colour picker and change the colour of the text/background. Instead it just updates the colour picker. A small change in the colour picker is required to then commit that value. It should probably happen when the input element blurs.
