https://live.mozillamessaging.com/autoconfig/v1.1/ is now https://autoconfig.thunderbird.net/v1.1/ https://live.mozillamessaging.com/dns/mx/ is now https://mx.thunderbird.net/dns/mx/ There are redirects in place and the live.mozillamessaging.com domains will stay around forever, but the redirects add needless roundtrip latency.

Given Bug 1229640 - "Remove thunderbird.net domain from use in email autoconfiguration" I think that the current bug should be marked as WONTFIX.
Agreed, although I try and keep WONTFIX for stuff that we intentionally don't do but people might re-suggest in the future. This is unlikely to come back once the redirects get turned off, so marking invalid.
