Two questions:
1) Where is this snippet going to appear? We need to know to decide if we use formal or informal address.
2) Is "you" supposed to be singular or plural?

Formal suggestion:

Informal suggestion singular:

Der Weltdankbarkeitstag ist am 21. September, aber wir danken Dir den ganzen Monat lang dafür, dass Du Firefox verwendest.

Informal suggestion plural:

Der Weltdankbarkeitstag ist am 21. September, aber wir danken Euch den ganzen Monat lang dafür, dass Ihr Firefox verwendet.

Info: the translation of "World Gratitude Day" is the same we use for the social media posts.

Snippets are always used in about:home, so you should decide if it's you=2nd singular or you=2nd plural or you prefer a more formal approach for German.

Yes, Firefox desktop is talking in formal mode to its users, so a snippet should use that as well. Facebook messages, on the contrary, should/would go with informal, AFAIK.

Exactly. As a rule of thumb for website translations, unless it’s a Twitter/Facebook post, formal mode is used.
