I am not sure if we did any wireframe exploration for the future winners page to go live on Sept 13 once winners are announced. I don't remember seeing anything like this or even a bug for these changes.

I received asks from User Engagement that we keep separate sections with anchors for the People's Choice Award (3 videos), each Regional Award (4x2 videos) and the Grand Prize.

With that, the structure should likely be:

Grand Prize
1 large video

US & Canada
2 medium videos
(ribbons: "winner", "runner-up")

Latin America
2 medium videos
(ribbons: "winner", "runner-up")

Europe, Middle-East and Africa:
2 medium videos
(ribbons: "winner", "runner-up")

Asia - Pacific
2 medium videos
(ribbons: "winner", "runner-up")

People's Choice Award
3 small videos
(ribbons: "first place", "second place", "third place")

--

EEA July
3 small videos (no change)

EEA May
3 small videos (no change)

EEA April
3 small videos (no change)

Greg, we do have direction for this. They were completed in these wireframes.

For bugs. I have not created the bugs for R4b (winners announce) yet. It's on my list.

Setting to private we can use this bug to communicate to us the winners once decided.

Thanks Ben. It's the first time I see those.
My recommendation would be to use distinct rows for each regional award, which would also give us room to make the videos bigger (the more important the award, the bigger the video).

Another benefit would be to have specific anchors for each region making it easier to link to specific videos.

What do you think?

Gregory:

Quick questions.

1. Above you mentioned ribbons. Do you mean physically having ribbons on these. I recall Arcadio started having creative do ribbon designs but that was dropped for text.

2. For the anchor links.. do you imagine these being displayed on the page or just for linking. In other words is this an additional level of navigation on the page?

No new design needed! Maybe ribbon is not a very good term here. I'm referring to the overlays we're currently using for "first place", "second place", "third place".

We only need them for linking.

Hey Craig. Thanks for this. Looking good.
One request I have from the bug description (but I didn't make it very clear, sorry) is that we move Latam between North America and EMEA. We have two pretty similar videos in North America and EMEA and it would be best to put some space between them. It also makes sense from a geographical perspective.

Also just a heads up: we may have to switch winner and runner-up for APAC as we never heard back from the initial winner (Stand by You Always). If the runner-up can make it to Toronto on short notice, we will swap winner and runner-up for the region. We are still working on getting these guys there and it is still unclear whether they will have their visa on time.

If we make the switch, what is the latest you need to know in order to make the push as planned on Sept 13?

I'll rearrange them, no problem.

We'll want to push the code to production during the workday in advance of flipping the switch at midnight, so I'd guess any time before mid-day on the 12th would give us enough time to make the change and verify it on stage.

Hi all,
Sorry for the tardy comment but I just realized that we don't rank the people's choice award winners. They're all winners so we need to remove the "1st place" "2nd place" and "3rd place" labels.
Can you update this? Thanks and apologies again.

Yes! I got confirmation earlier today that we are going to switch winner and runner-up for APAC. "The Anniversary" is the new winner and "Stand by You Always" becomes runner-up.
Thanks for your patience as we juggled with winner communications, travel and visa chaos.

This is in production, so I'm marking it resolved and making it non-private.
