Steps to reproduce:

1.open messages app,and create a new message
2.insert a specified jpg file in the message
3.tap the jpg and select view it


Actual results:

in step 3,the jpg file can not be previewed,the ui show all dark


Expected results:

The jpg file should can be previewed,please check the attachment file

Which version of Gaia/Gecko are you using ?

Is it reproducible on v1.1 and/or on master ?

I tested on the following version:

gaia：c0ea0a4943dc8d3751b07f5b5c5d3abe06364a14  
gecko：170f9e477571127cd40997fa2abe262ed43f0e4d  
gonk-misc：ca9192d7ef6037016d4723647d86b72f7a410633

And i think the problem is becomming more serious,

gallery app crash directly when trying to view the jpg.Please check the attachment file.

And this issue can be reproduce at 100% ratio.

Do you have a meaningful logcat when this happens ?

This is more a gallery bug then, moving components.

The HD flag is supposed to be used for HD assets and UI modifications only. If this is a confirmed bug on both HD and Leo then it should be bumped to leo?


Dominic, can you or refer someone to check this from gallery?

Checked issue on builds below, I was not able to reproduce this issue with the provided test.jpg. We don't have a Helix to check, but if you need other information please let me know.

Looks like this might just be a 1.1HD issue.
