Description:
The email app fails to install correctly, displaying a rocket icon and launching to a blank black screen.

Repro Steps:
1) Update Buri to Build ID: 20130822040202
2) Observe the appearance of the Email icon on the homescreen.
3) Tap the Email icon and observe the device's reaction.

Actual:
The Email icon shows the rocket icon, and attempting to launch it shows a blank black screen.

Expected:
The proper email icon shows, and attempting to launch it shows either the login page or the email inbox page.

Does not repro today on Buri 1.2 mozilla RIL.  Email icon looks correct and the app launches normally.

This needs confirmation that this was reproduced on yesterday's build again. If it does, then try running the STR on this bug multiple times to confirm if this issue can happen intermittently or not.

I flashed to the 8/22 master build and was able to reproduce the bug.  I also selected the Email icon (which was a rocket) repeatedly and a blank black screen was show every time.

In https://pvtbuilds.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/mozilla-central-unagi/2013/08/2013-08-22-04-02-02/gaia.zip the e-mail application.zip is 22 bytes in size with nothing inside of it.

This explains the rocket icon and the failure to load.  No icon to retrieve, no app to run.

The error from https://pvtbuilds.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/mozilla-central-unagi/2013/08/2013-08-22-04-02-02/logs/log_info.log shows:

This was fixed on bug 908580 by :lightsofapollo.  It appears the root cause was likely bug 906316.  It appears the 906316 landed without a pull request and so there was no travis run to verify that things didn't break or anything like that.  (I can't find a pull request or evidence of a merge; assuming a fast-forward push.)

Note, there was a pull reqest in bug 906316 (https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/pull/11585 mentioned in comment 1) but travis was very broken at this time. Running locally showed no sign of evidence it wasn't working, but since I am not a familiar of email's build system I probably missed that.

Verifying due to being unable to repro on Buri 1.2 mozilla RIL.  The Email app has been showing the proper icon and launches when selected.
