I've just run into this problem today. Changed SandboxOptions in xpcprivate.h then for some reason xul.dll was linked again but the actual .obj files in xpconnect were not rebuilt. That resulted mysterious nasty crashes ofc.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this was due to bug 904743 and fixed in 9f9e762ff152. After pulling m-c and rebuilding (a clobber would be safest), things should "just work." Please reopen if this is not the case.
