Expected results: Firefox should have offered to save my password.
Using Nightly from "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0" , I can see Firefox doorhanger to save the password. It means that it could be fixed because of bug 355063. Can anyone else confirm this?
WFM, FF23 on Win 7 (and previous versions) displays the doorhanger to ask the user to save or not the password. If the user accepts, the password is saved properly. But FF23 fails to load automatically the saved password after selecting the username, I need to retype it. It works only in FF24+. Anyway the I'm not able to repro the issue reported here. Tried with clean profile, FF23 on Fedora 19, and I do get the doorhanger. It doesn't fill in the password, but the doorhanger does appear.

Anyway it works as expected in next versions.

I can somehow reproduce this issue with version 23.0.1. It offers to save and update passwords but is unable to fill the required fields when accessing the page again.
This also happens after deleting ~/.mozilla
Markus, could you try in Nightly, please. It should automatically fill the required fields. See http://nightly.mozilla.org/

Indeed it fills everything in correctly with Firefox Nightly.

I can also confirm that it now works for me, FF 24.0 from Fedora.
