Hi Carmen, Thanks for submitting this. I'm assigning it over to Matej. I'm not sure if he'll have Troy take this on or not. Cheers, Jennifer

Yup, Troy is the man. You'll notice there's more time on this one. The draft isn't due until Sept. 24, so you don't have to worry about it immediately. Just slot it in when it works best and keep me posted. Thanks.

Awesome. Thanks.
Pinging in the bug. :) Copy was due to start yesterday, just an fyi. Still due on the 24th. However, we had a big shake up yesterday, determining the need for a Marketplace feature in Oct. I'm trying to wrangle that together today. Wanted to catch you before you got too far down the path.
Woot! We're good to go. Changes implemented.
Thanks Carmen!
Hi team! There have been a few outline tweaks around the Firefox OS apps and marketplace story, due to conflicting information. Apologies as we work out this process. Also, a kindly reminder that the draft is due tomorrow. C
Hi everyone Here's the link to my draft: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v0YxUJuzphCS3F9mJlnPrmlRznNnY_WDdSIZOg0nzmc/edit?usp=sharing I've embedded all the links into the copy (it helped me keep a better flow to everything), but if anyone wants them separated out, I can easily do that. I have also left a few comments in there for some things that I am unsure of. Please have a look and let me know what you think. Oh, and I'll probably keep adding some headlines over the next day or so. Looking forward to everyone's comments. Cheers, Troy
Thanks Troy! Give Jess, Winston and I a chance to review and consolidate our thoughts, and I'll ping in the bug when it's ready for your eyes again! C
Troy, We're ready to punt back to you. Any chance we can get final draft by noon EST tomorrow? That doable?
Also, a note Jess and I had some new direction yesterday, so we hacked on some things, deleted some stories to keep it shorter based on some learnings, and tried to keep the EN and L10n versions the same as much as possible.
Sounds good to me. Thanks for the edits. I'll do my best to have it all done for noon tomorrow. Cheers, Troy
Pretty sure I've addressed all the comments (aside from the content that has been moved to future months) if you want to take a look.
Thanks Troy! Carmen, Winston and I have taken a look and reworked a few things and left one comment. I think we're almost there. Can you read over, address that comment and see if you have any last edits? I'd like to send this to our localization team by EOD today. Thanks!
Thanks Jess. I made a couple of edits based on the comments, and left a comment of my own in the screenshot section.
Hi all, I just had a quick look and I'm a little concerned about the Marketplace copy, this line in particular: "And the apps are built using HTML5, which means that they can be used across platforms and devices." While the eventual goal is to have apps that work on multiple platforms, that's not currently true. The apps work on Firefox OS and, to a more limited extent, on Firefox for Android. I'm worried that the above is misleading and that the mention of HTML5 isn't totally right for this audience. Also, while the technology behind Marketplace is non-proprietary, in that it can be used by anyone, the Firefox Marketplace is certainly a proprietary property. No one else can create something called Firefox Marketplace, which is something we own and control. I think what we had originally was much closer to the current state of the Marketplace.
Tory - great call on that edit. I made the change in the doc. Matej - Thanks for the flag. I see your points. Carmen and I were trying to find some words to use to make it have a bit more umph and meaning to the everyday user. This is the first time they're being introduced to the Firefox Marketplace and I think it's a good time to call out some of the reasons why we did it and how it's pretty awesome. I'd like to find a version that is somewhere between the two with a little more details, but being clear about what's up. I'll hold off on sending this story until we flesh it out more on Monday.
I've posted a new copy option for the Marketplace section. Hopefully it lands in a good spot between the two previous versions we've had. Check it out, and let me know what you think.
(In reply to Troy Palmer from comment #19) > I've posted a new copy option for the Marketplace section. Hopefully it > lands in a good spot between the two previous versions we've had. Check it > out, and let me know what you think. I think that works a lot better. I just left one comment about not repeating the word "apps" so many times. Thanks.
Hey all - we had to get clarification on that copy with the product team for Marketplace - and their feedback is included in the latest revision. Take a look?
Matej - can you take a look at the copy in green and let me know if it looks okay? I'd like to get this article to our teams by EOD today if at all possible. Thanks!
Ah! I had missed the comment chain! The latest copy looks great. Closing this bug out. Thanks team!
