After we have some data on which Elastic Search topic filters are most popular (see bug 910504), we should determine which filters are least valuable to the user and remove those filters from the options.

Please let Holly make the final call here.
For the record, this can be done through the Django admin interface, in the "search filter" section.
:sheppy I'd like to schedule some time with your or someone from your team to make sure you know how to modify the active topic filters. There is lots of flexibility built-in and I think we should think about how to figure out the stressfulness of each filter (e.g. via Google Analytics).
