Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010628
BuildID: 2001062815

I received several e-mails today about the bug report I sent in this AM (91095).
One of those messages was sent at 9:45 AM (There are actually two sent at this
time). When I try to read one of them, I get the Alert pop-up message window
whose body says "Unknown Error 80470002". I can't see any text in this message,
and when I try showing the source (View-Message Source), Mozilla stops
responding to the OS. I still have this note in my Inbox.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select the note and wait for the Alert window
2.
3.

Actual Results: The Alert window appears.

Expected Results: Expected to see the body of the note.

I tried saving this note to my hard drive, but the file is of zero length.
Comments about mail-related unknown error 80470002 have been showing up recently
on bug 57057. I'm inclined to mark this a dup. Although this doesn't get us
much closer to a real diagnosis, posting your story there may help flush out the
issue. Before you do that, though, you may want to try a recent nightly -- I'm
copying this comment from 57057:

------- Additional Comments From Jeandré 2001-07-15 09:51 -------

Had an amzing adventure with "unknown error 80470002" under 0.9.2 on Windows 98
2nd edition (4.10.2222). Downloaded and installed the latest nighly (2001071408)
- mail rebuilt my inbox index and now everythings just beautiful, so for all the
80470002ers out there: try an Asa approved build from
http://www.mozillazine.org/build_comments/ or try the latest nightly.
