-------- not part of v1.1, feature request. I want to know whether it is mean this feature is not supported in v1.1?
It is not supported on v1.1. Can you include the reference if it is a certification requirement?
I am flagging Rob and Peter. I thought we'd covered this in the prior certification volume warning work?

I believe we've covered the warning part but this is the first time i've heard about a reboot-readjust volume requirement. I am asking partner to provide support information if this is cert-blocking. Otherwise we should not need to do this.
ok, Can you please the support information ASAP, For I am afraid this will affect our CE ce certification
This should belongs to gaia system, we can probably reset the volume after reboot. Alive, can you help on looking into this before UX comments? thanks.

-------->Do you have grant 'over safe volume' here? If so, it doesn't matter if you reboot or not. Yes, I have changed the audio volume to max , it is over safe volume.
(In reply to lecky from comment #10) > -------->Do you have grant 'over safe volume' here? If so, it doesn't matter > if you reboot or not. > Yes, I have changed the audio volume to max , it is over safe volume. AFAIK CE certification doesn't have 'reboot then forget' requirement. Are you sure this is a must have to meet CE certification?
This scenario is covered in the CENELEC Volume Limits spec - https://bug863267.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=746132 ---- Resuming playback If the playback volume exceeds the 85 dBA warning limit and is the audio or video player is closed, playback volume must be lowered to the 85 dBA limit when playback is resumed (and the headphones are plugged in). If the playback volume exceeds the 85 dBA warning limit and the headphones are unplugged, playback volume must be lowered to the 85 dBA limit when the headphone plug is re-inserted and playback resumes. ---- Also note the summary... ---- If headphones are plugged in and the user attempts to increase music or video playback volume beyond 85 dBA, the CENELEC volume warning must be displayed. The user must acknowledge this warning to continue increasing the volume limit to the maximum level as defined in the CENELEC standard. Once the warning has been acknowledged by the user, the warning is not triggered until after 20 hours of cumulative listening time. This is independent of whether the audio or video players have been closed. After 20 hours of cumulative listening time, the warning is triggered when the user attempts to increase the volume past the 85dBA volume limit. If the playback volume exceeds the 85 dBA limit and is closed, the volume must be restored to the 85 dBA limit on subsequent playback. This would also apply when the user unplugs and re-plugs in their headphones. ----

Do you mean once the warning is triggered, the next trigger time is after 20 hours cumulative listening time ? And the warning should not be triggered after the device has reboot?
