User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130814063812 Steps to reproduce: This has recently manifested on Firefox 23.x branch on both Windows XP SP3 32-bit (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0) and Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0). I have disabled add-ons and tried a fresh install/profile with the same results. These pages have been tested working fine on both Opera 12.16 Build 1860 and Iron Version 28.0.1550.0 To view the problem, visit either of the following websites: http://www.overclock.net/t/457286/seagate-bricked-firmware-drive-fix-with-pics My screenshots: Firefox (http://postimg.org/image/6ggtpihy5) and Iron (http://postimg.org/image/w1t1pd55p) Alternatively, visit http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Tesco-Outlet/Laptops-/_i.html?_fsub=1374384014 My screenshots: Firefox (http://postimg.org/image/779jvakbh) and Iron (http://postimg.org/image/j6l22lpwd) Actual results: Wrapping of the content or bad flow (not sure how to describe what is actually causing the page to be rendered incorrectly). Expected results: Page rendered without any issue.
Just to reiterate, whilst Bugzilla detected the user agent as Windows XP 32-bit, this problem also exists on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0).
Same rendering in FF23 and old FF8. On IE9, overclock.net is broken too, ebay is not. Surely website issue with code interpretation.

Rather unhelpfully I discovered the Overclock site has changed in the interim and the problematic part is no longer viewable. Lucky I took the screenshots. The Tescos outlet on ebay still exhibits the problem in Firefox. I have successfully tested it working in: Opera (Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; Edition United Kingdom Local) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.16) IE8 (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0)) QTWeb (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB) AppleWebKit/533.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) QtWeb/3.8.4) Iron (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Iron/28.0.1550.0 Chrome/28.0.1550.0 Safari/537.36) Qupzilla (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/537.21 (KHTML, like Gecko) QupZilla/1.4.3 Safari/537.21)
One problem per bug, please. Since the ebay problem is the only one still reproducable, this bug covers that one.
Summary: Rendering problem on some websites → overlapping text on ebay search results page
qawanted for: - need to determine if this is a Firefox regression, and if so what the regression window was - need a testcase
The issue with ebay reproduces with Mac OS X and Ubuntu as well in Firefox 4.0 so this is not a Firefox regression.
