From bug 897768:

"We'd like the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps registry key to be created on the Windows releng machines, along with a DWORD key value named "DumpType" and of value "1"."

nthomas has already tested this on the releng side, so now we're looking to integrate the key into the imaging process for Windows builders.

Is this something that can be deployed via GPO, and if so, do I need to worry about deploying it to existing builders by hand?
Coop: We're still waiting on a couple releng bugs to be able to deploy 2008R2 with GPO support (see the blockers to 781277). We can make sure this gets rolled into the new process, though. Depending, you may want to wait till we get unblocked on 781277 (I'm not sure what the timeframe is on that from the releng side), or you may want to roll stuff out by hand now.

This is now being handled under the GPO Registry_builders. Once the new image is a go this will automatically be included. However, non of the existing builders are under GPO management, so this may need to be done by hand.
