http://detectmobilebrowsers.com/ offers downloadable scripts for: Apache ASP ASP.NET ColdFusion C# IIS JSP JavaScript jQuery Lasso nginx node.js PHP Perl Python Rails... and all of them fail to detect a plain "Mobile" token in the UA string. Have reached out over twitter: https://twitter.com/miketaylr/status/377097942399582208
The maintainer writes: > Will the UA for the tablet version be something along the lines of "Mozilla/5.0 (Tablet; rv:XX.0) Gecko/XX.0 Firefox/XX.0"? > If so, I'll add mobile.+firefox to the list. lmandel gave me a pointer to 906538 which indicates that this is a pretty good assumption. Have replied saying as much.
