The idea would be to have a paper invitation + envelope on the chairs in the main stage room as we start key notes that morning. This is a way to connect the events we've done along the way to celebrate each launch country with the bigger celebration, globally, at the summit. >>Creative Specs & Deliverables: We are looking for a creative design and polished copy (we will provide the first draft) for the invitation. I will check on the format we need, but assume a PSD file will work. Kristin/Jen/Tara are in the loop on this, and I believe we've sourced local printers who can print the invitations for us. (Jen will know more) Mardi and I are working on polishing the copy, however to give you an idea on what it will be - here is some initial copy from Chris Lee + team for proposed messaging. It has been an impressive 22 months and we've now successfully launched our first shipmets of the Firefox OS devices into market earlier this summer. Each person here played a role in making this product (from flashing phones, to fixing bugs, to creating marketing campaigns, to trade shows, to building and training the teams, to evangelizing/tweeting about Firefox OS. Tonight we invite you to our celebrate together here in <insert city> and with our Mozillians globally this amazing achievement. The Web is where it is today because of your contributions both small and large. This event is for you. Hi Amie, I'm adding Matej to the cc list of the bug so that he can polish up the copy. And Matt will be the designer taking care of creating the final invitation. We really need the copy by the end of the day today, if possible, since no work can be done until we have it. Specs for the invitation: - 100# white cardstock - 5.25" x 7.25" flat card (no fold) - 4 color printing

Just an FYI, as copy is being produced, we've only priced out printing on one side of the card. We of course can change that, but would need to know if it's necessary.

All, Sorry to through this into the mix but both Amie and I think it's a solid idea. We asked everyone at registration to tell us how to say "Thank You" in their native language. The idea was actually, to use this data as part of the Firefox OS dinner (saying "thank you" to Mozillians from Mozillians sort of thang.) So, could we design this data (think word cloud) onto the backside of the invite? If not, we may decide to use the data in an infographic on screens. p/w MozSum2013!
Given the timing of this ask, I would say it's best not to introduce any other variables. Word clouds are cool, but it takes some effort to get them right. So, I do think we should focus on using that Thank You data on an on-screen infographic rather than here. Also, Amie, please do share this with anyone you think needs to see it.
Hey Matt, layout looks great, but can you make sure to grab the most recent copy. Two things that need updating are the headline ("It's time to celebrate. Big time.") and "T-shirt" needs an uppercase "T." There may be others as well. Might be good to reflow the text in comment 5 to be safe.

Sorry Matej, thanks for catching it. I've updated with the copy from comment #5...looks like it just the two things. With regards to the location...do we need to include the city name, of just the location name?
Thanks, Matt. Looking good. The bigger question is if this should be Firefox OS branded or Summit branded. Also, does it need a date as well as a time?
I believe it should be Firefox OS branded - it's for the Firefox OS party where most everything will be Firefox OS branded.
Yes, +1 to Tara. Should be Ffx OS branded. (and given that, Mardi and I were talking through the fact that we mention "unleashing the fox" in the invite, and does it make sense to have the desktop logo at the bottom?) Date would be a good add. Time was already there, I thought. And we need to make sure we have three invitation mock ups so that the "Place" has the proper names from comment 7.
Thanks for the clarification. About the logo, the lockup at the bottom is correct for Firefox OS, but maybe there's a way to bring more of the unleashed fox into it as well, rather than just the tail. Matt, WDYT?
With some of the past layouts I've created for FxOS, I normally leave the unleashed fox off if there isn't one of the designated FxOS headlines to go with it. ie. 'Look Ahead' etc. So I have been sticking with that for these types of creative. However the space to the right of the invitation headline could look nice with one of the fox poses. Visually I am ok with working it in, but wanted to confirm if this is breaking our rules.

That's a good point, though I think it's OK to use a different headline with the fox visual as long as it's not set in the bold italic (like we have on the website, for example). John, can you confirm?
Confirmed: it's ok to have a different headline with the fox visual as long as it's not in the bold italic style (which is reserved for "Look Ahead", etc).

I've attached a v2, which includes an unleashed fox pose, as well as a fourth column for the 'date'. I can sub in proper dates with places once we have a finalized layout. Let me know what you think of this as another option!

The fox, particularly his nose, seems a little too close to the text to me. What do you think?

I've attached an updated PDF which includes both layouts. Also, slightly repositioned the fox to give a bit more breathing room from the headline copy.
