Details

Looked through the open autocomplete bugs and couldn't find this. 1. Type something in the location field to trigger the autocomplete widget to open. 2. Press Alt. Expected Results: autocomplete closes and menu highlights Actual Results: menu highlights but autocomplete remains open Another thing I notice is that, regardless of whether autocomplete is displayed, pressing Alt to activate the menu does not remove the caret from the location field. Not sure if this is related or not. Build: 2001071604

Same problem appears when, while the autocomplete popup is open, the user presses Ctrl+O, Ctrl+N, Ctrl+S, Ctrl+R, and Ctrl+M. IMHO, the only cases when the popup should stay open, are on Ctrl+L (open location), Ctrl+C (copy), Ctrl+X (cut, popup contents should update), Ctrl+V(paste, popup contents should update), and Ctrl+A (select all, essentially same as Ctrl+L). All these, apart from Ctrl+L, work correctly right now.
