User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130814063812 Steps to reproduce: Open a large document file in firefox(e.g.): http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2013/n3690.pdf Search for a non-existing word: e.g. New York The search progress circle shows that the document is being searched. Close the document. Actual results: The search progress circle still shows that the previous closed document is being searched. Expected results: The search progress circle should be cancelled immediately when the document that was search is closed.
P.S. obviously enough, firefox has at least 2 opened tabs, one of which is assigned for the pfd file and the pdf file is opened inside firefox.
Is this still an Issue for you? I fail to reproduce against Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 ID:20131120062258 CSet: 597287004ff5 using CTRL + F + the string "New York"
