User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 SeaMonkey/2.20 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130803200314

Steps to reproduce:

Unable to reproduce at the moment. Mail has been working fine until 10:30am 9/16/2013. Seamonkey 2.20. I noticed no new mail for a while which is unusual. I get at least one message an hour.

Actual results:

Mail program opened and it was checking mail automatically. Then stopped after someone asked if they received my email. I checked out webmail site and the email was there but Seamonkey refused to download. I would check mail, then I would notice that the lower left status bar would display, received 0 of 20 messages. Huh? Where are the logs for me to check the messages to see what is up??

Expected results:

When I hit get messages, I get email. After 10:30am today this stopped working and I noticed the "0 of 20 messages error or message"
If there were no changes to Seamonkey, it sounds more likke your server might have issues. Can you access mail with a different application or via a web interface?

I'm able to access all my email via a web portal. Yesterday I sent a test message to myself and I could see that it showed up right away in the web portal email application. But when I would check the seamonkey mail client, it would take sometime, then I would see in the lower left hand corner that I had 0 of 20 messages received. Strange. I zipped up my profile directory yesterday so I could get working today. All is well for now but is there a log of some sort to examine in all of this. I would hate to have this happen again. Starting Fresh.

Thanks,

Joe

UPDATE: I'm using mail with good results today. But I have noticed that when I start Seamonkey Mail and let it check mail all by itself, it tends to work quickly. If I manually check email, it seems to take upwards of 20 seconds before it says there are no messages. This is how things started to go awry yesterday. Long times for manually checking email. Then I ended up with no new email even though I can see it through an alternative application. Seamonkey 2.20
Joe, do you still see this problem when using a current version?
