Update the redesign global navigation to the following. In the illustration below, top-level bullet points indicate menus, and second-level bullet points indicate the items in those menus. Parenthesis like (dest: xyz) are destinations and square brackets like [lorem ipsum] are notes.

* Zones
    * App Center (dest: forthcoming App Center Zone)
* Web Platform
    * [The exact same link names and destinations in the "Docs"
       dropdown now.]
* Tools (dest: forthcoming tools page)
* Demos (dest: Demo Studio)
* Developer Program (forthcoming Developer Program landing page)
Holly, should clicking the menu names themselves ("Zones" and "Web Platform") have any effect? That is, should they be links themselves, or just words that respond to hovering by opening a sub-menu?

Always, always use a real link....IMHO :D
Agreed with David. However, we may not have the landing pages ready for Zones and Web Platforms at beta launch. I think that it should be a goal to have them by end of October.

Agree with you here. Trying hard not to push technical debt into further quarters, but this is an unexpected requirement revealed through implementation, and we did account for exactly this in risk assessment when projecting a final launch date. In other words, we were well prepared for this.

David, don't worry about the "Zones" or "Web Platform" link destinations here. I will open a bug about finishing that up later.

Reopening, as we do not yet have final URLs for the App Center, Tools, and Developer Program pages.

Tools hasn't moved: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/tools.

I've also been using https://developer.mozilla.org/tools for the tools screencasts I've been making, and that seems to work too.

I'm assuming that Persona is going to be: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Persona (which is what it is right now)...

Yup. Should be easy to fix?
Final navigation, with destinations.

* Zones [should not be a link for now, we will change this later]
    * App Center [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Apps]
    * Firefox OS [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS]
* Web Platform (all done -- no changes needed)
* Tools [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Tools]
* Demos (all done -- no changes needed)

We may add more Zones before the beta launch. As part of this, please also remove dummy text from the Zones dropdown.
