David is currently working on implementing the homepage Sean designed. This bug will be used to track that work.

David, some additional notes on this: * Ali wanted me to let you know that we do not need to implement "Recent edits" or "Recent discussions" now, or perhaps even for the full redesign launch, if doing so would be difficult. If you don't do it here, I will open a separate bug for that work. * The "Get Involved" block will be a static image. No need to pull those stats dynamically. * The "See & submit" demos piece should be editable.

Per your comments: 1. Cool -- I have them HTML/CSS'd out, so when we have that functionality (we may have it already), we can add it back 2. Image would be bad because we need to localize that text. I've HTML/CSS'd this but yes, the numbers are static and we can update manually in the future. 3. The demos will be pulled into the homepage via the "Featured" flag for now. If we care to do it another way in the future, we can.

1. Awesome 2. Sounds good. I should have said "static" rather than "image" necessarily. 3. Sounds good. We can see how this works during the evaluation period in the coming months.

David, please see the following feedback about the homepage. Sean will not update his PSD with this feedback, and has asked that you fix it in implementation. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_SuK_LrBDR8KNc1vOITNKZxDUEzY8VQTN2jt4zYmnEQ/edit#
I have no idea what to do with all of this. Do we do this? Do we not? Am I the ultimate decision-maker?
(In reply to David Walsh :davidwalsh from comment #5) > I have no idea what to do with all of this. Do we do this? Do we not? Am > I the ultimate decision-maker? Yes. Sean has nothing to add on his side and has asked that you take care of issues that you judge to be relevant during implementation. If you think any of those does need more input from Sean, just let me know and I will circle back with him.

Hi, (In reply to John Karahalis [:openjck] from comment #6) > Yes. Sean has nothing to add on his side Which is kind of sad as most of my comments are design issues (color, shapes) rather than implementation issues (spaces, line breaking, grid alignment) (In reply to David Walsh :davidwalsh from comment #7) > Most of Jeremie's comments have been fixed or are no longer relevant with > the new homepage content. Just wonder, are the last changes in production or still in staging as the production version does not seams to take any of my comment into account? I also noticed some visual glitches (Font usage that is incorrect on the main title of the page for example) and wonder if it's relevant to open bugs now.
Jeremie: I am going to reach out to Sean to get more detailed information on why he accepted some feedback and did not accept other feedback, and will circle back with you when I hear from him.
