Details

When the items on the preferences list are expanded 1 by 1 in the order they
occur in, when tapping "privacy and security", the list expands beyond the
borders of the subwindow without an accompanying scrolbar on the right side. If
successively the user collapses the very first item (without doing anything else
in between), then for a second she will see " Content " and then Mozilla is
killed immediately.
If on the other hand, one of the items in between is collapsed first (like
Composer), then the scrollbar appears. From that moment on, until the
preferences dialog is closed, mozilla will not be killed by the collapsing or
expanding of members. It seems that the scrollbar not appearing when the items
are expanded in sequence is in some way connected to Mozilla being killed when
collapsing the first item.
Therefore this bug seems related to bug nr 26017. I sent a copy to
matt@netscape.com, because he was mentioned in that bug.
