** Observed with 7/21/2001 Win32 build **

I said this in Bug 91531 but I decided to open a new bug
because supposedly with the above build, the problem in Bug 91531 is
fixed. However, this problem is still observed with the above build.

Here are my environments which created this problem.

1. I have my Navigator start-up page set to:

   http://home.netscape.com/ja

2. I sent myself a short message with HTML attachments.
File A is 33KB in size.
File B is 2 KB in size.

3. Received this file on an IMAP server and displays it.
I see the 2 HTML files inline in the msg view window.

4. I double-click on File A. It opens OK in a new window.
5. I double-click on File B. It open the Navigator Home page set in
   step 1.
6. If step 5 does not lead to this problem, close the new window
where the attachment is displayed and try again.

Further notes:

1. Once the problem begins to happen, it happens every time.
Until then, you may not be able to see this problem. It seems that
the home page as defined above needs to be in cache or has been
accessed multiple times during the current session.

2. Also if the size of the file seems to have something to do with it.
This problem does not happen with a larger size file like File A.

3. If you change the Navigator home page to something else,
this problem will disappear. But if you go back to the NS JA
home page again, after a while the problem surfaces again.
> But if you go back to the NS JA home page
> again, after a while the problem surfaces again.

What I mean by this is that if you re-set the Navigator Home
Page to NS Japan Home Page, you will see this problem
eventually folloowing the steps above.

I will attach File A and File B below.

Save the above 2 HTML files on your disk and attach them to a single
message. Receive the message and try the steps mentioned above for
testing.
Bhuvan, is this also corrected by either 91585 or Jag's fix?
I believe this to be fixed by my patch in bug 65993. Marking it depend on that
for now, so we'll remember to see if it's indeed fixed once I check it in
(hoping to check it in on the trunk tonight).
Depends on: 65993
I sometimes see a crash when I double-click on
File A attachment. I guess I should file another bug for it.
I filed the crash bug at:

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91803
I couldn't reproduce this using 19th's build. Running on a modem connection, so
I couldn't get today's build. I will try to get one tomorrow from sweetlou.

Also, with the branch debug I have (with patch in bug 65993 applied), I didn't
see this problem.

Let me get the troubled build to see the problem.

jag, if you have today's branch build from sweetlou, please try to reproduce the
problem using momoi's steps.

Momoi, the build you used was a branch build...right ?

bhuvan
> Momoi, the build you used was a branch build...right ?

Yes. 2001-07-21-06-0.9.2 Build.
As I said this above, it takes some sort of frequent displays
pf the Navigator Home page beforehand for this to begin to
happen. Once it happens, it happens all the time.

Also I have "View | Character Coding | Auto-Detect"
set to Japanese.
Kat, since Jag has fixed 65993, can you see if this is now a WFM for you on the
0723 branch build?
Marking fixed now that the patch for bug 65993 has been checked in. Please
verify!
