no audio via usb audio on mac

Steps to reproduce:
plugged un usb headphones.
seleted usbaudio as default output
switched back to internal speakers.
got audio
Actual results:
no sound come out. just silence. tested and all headphone channels are working. is just firefox that has this issue
Expected results:
should have played sound via usb headphones.
