Often (almost always) when trying to download files from fileplanet.com it tells
me I'm not logged in (after I click "Download Now" from the page above). If I
click the login link, it tells me I'm logging out(!), then sends me to a page
which says I'm not logged in (surprise). If I then try to login link again, it
takes my email address and password (I check the "sign me in automatically"
box), and sends me to a page which (surprise again) tells me I'm not logged in.
That was the behavior on a slightly different file. For the file above, the
behavior now is that clicking on Login ("click here now") takes me right back to
the same page.
fileplanet doesn't have any cookies. Gamespy (related) did have a session id
cookie, but deleting that didn't help.

hmm, can you view-source: the page that should log in. I suspect a code fork at
the site that isn't redirecting mozilla properly. have you tried spoofing your
user agent to see if that makes a difference?
