Could the Creative team please provide text and images for the second scene of /new that explain the Windows-only stub installer process?

Would it be possible to have this complete by October 25?

You will have to view this URL in a non-Firefox latest build since the screenshots are hidden from users who are already running the latest version. i.e. Try in Chrome or IE on Windows.

The creative team may not be your best resource for these, as we are all on Macs and getting Windows screenshots that way is quite a process.

In the past we've used Silverorange for this type of work. Any reason we couldn't do that this time?

Windows 7 is 49% of our Windows audience, followed by XP at 40%, so let's go with Windows 7 screenshots.

Michael from SO had some feedback in another bug related to this:

http://stage2.silverorange.com:8184/en-US/firefox/new/#download-fx shows a special image in the first slot for IE < 9.

The image has several problems:

 1. there is a mouse cursor in the title-bar
 2. the image uses alpha transparency but is shown to IE 6, 7 and 8 users where alpha transparency is not supported.
 3. a firefox version number is visible in the text

The pull request updates the screenshots (and fixes all kinds of other stuff), but I haven't updated the text. For the windows instruction, the biggest change is second screenshot (link below [1]) has the stub-installer.

The step 2 text on Windows reads:
> "Click Run to launch the Mozilla Firefox setup wizard. Then, just follow the steps (we've made the process as painless as possible)."

I think this still holds up as is.

Improve download help screenshots for Bug 918913
 - Update screenshots to reflect the stub installer on Windows (Bug 918913)
 - Use the new logo in the windows screenshots (Bug 921264)
 - Adjust the size of the screenshots to fit on the grid
 - Sprite the download screenshots and use JPG (faster/better)
 - Use wider/shorter aspect ration to leave more room for text below
 - Update responsive styles accordingly
