User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; Trident/5.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; SLCC2; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; MDDC; .NET4.0C; McAfee)

Steps to reproduce:

Whenever I open Firefox (Version 24.0) I get this error message (see attached). It seemed to start when I updated to Java 7.40

Actual results:

I click on cancel and Mozilla starts normally

Expected results:

No error msg
That's a Java dialog:

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/appsecuritydialogs.xml

But I don't know why it shows chrome://browser/content/browser.xul as the application's URL. That URL is part of Firefox. Do you have some add-on installed that uses a Java applet? Please try starting up Firefox in safe mode with all add-ons disabled and report back if you can reproduce the problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Thanks Drew,

I did what I should have done before I contacted you. I disabled all my add-ons and re-enabled them one at a time and I found the culprit. I use Mastercook for my recipes and before I upgraded to 14 I used recipefox to download recipes. With Mastercook 14 I no longer use recipefox and when I upgraded Java there must have been a conflict because when I disabled recipefox the error msg stopped.

Thanks for the help.
