Steps to reproduce:

I upgraded to thunderbid 24.0.
My system is Ubuntu 12-04 lts



Actual results:

Lightning was not upgrades automatically.
The window "looking for actual versions of your add-ons" started but never finished.
When trying to install lightning, the add-on manager also startet to look for new add-ons but didn stop looking.
Trying to install lightning from a downloaded extension-file lightning-2.6-tb+sm-linux.xpi also didn't work.



Expected results:

I should have been able to read an work with my lightning calender data!
