(Whiteboard: [dev][stage][prod])
Authentication appears to briefly work; the user logs in with persona and is redirected to their account (/u/<username>). After initial login the browser redirects again to the logged out view of mozillians.org.
Note:
- reproducible only on iOS 7 Safari
- doesn't reproduce on other persona enabled sites (reps.mozilla.org
Not reproduce:
- iOS 7 Chrome
- iOS 6 Safari/Chrome
Steps to reproduce:
0. goto mozillians.org with an iOS 7 device
1. login using persona
Actual:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq4MPKJNpyo
After authenticating with Persona redirection to the users account occurs. After a brief moment the browser redirects, logs the user out, and presents the logged out homepage.
Expected:
After authenticating with Persona the user should be logged into their mozillians account.

It works for me on an iPad running iOS7 when I enable 3rd party cookies. Please enable 3rd party cookies and try again and let me know if it works.
Thanks!

This is a known issue: https://github.com/mozilla/browserid/issues/3905
AFAICT, it's not a mozillians bug.

Interesting, good find with the gitissue. I didn't realize this was an issue with bidpom.
Is this patch relevant/usable - https://github.com/mozilla/browserid/issues/3905#issuecomment-24870375
Asking users to disable 3rd party cookies isn't a fantastic solution particularly because there is no messaging to users that they should do this.

Looks like we won't need a monkey patch - https://github.com/mozilla/browserid/issues/3905 is close to being resolved.
_6a68 ping'd in channel to give us a heads up that a hot fix is going to be shipped shortly.
