We currently don't support the username in user profile URLs. We have bug 882426 to implement that. Maybe we should block on that?

It is a little clunky, but we could just ask people to enter their user number from SUMO. https://github.com/mozilla/mozillians/pull/701
Oh, sorry, I just realized you already had a discussion about this exact thing. Nevermind.
Since it's probably going to take us a while on the SUMO side, I'd suggest that mozillians goes ahead with the solution Liz suggested in comment #4
IMO, we can do 3 things: 1. we should either remove SUMO field for now on till we have username support on SUMO 2. we can use {'name': 'Mozilla Support', 'url': 'https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/{username}'}, temporarily but it would be great if we can implement something like mentioned on bug 921567
