Bug 918786 spots an unexpected behaviour when retrieving the value from an email input. According to [1] it should be automatically sanitized but it's not. A simple test shows the default behaviour is not bugged.
This bug tries to discover what happens with the contacts application particular case.

Salva.
This is probably a platform bug. Please could you check HTML5 specs, attach a failing test case and change the Component of the bug to the Gecko Core component?

Sorry here but I did not discovered nothing pointing to a platform bug. Freeing this if somebody can find something.
Thank you Noemi.
